“Longest Night” Worship - Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.

At 6:00 p.m., after the Advent Art Show, the evening will conclude with a brief contemplative worship experience of singing, scripture reading and candle lighting, releasing to God anything that might interfere with a fully joyous celebration of Advent and Christmas.

The “Longest Night” theme recognizes that the approach of the winter solstice as a symbol of the dark realities of life that can be approached and released with hope through the anticipation and celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
