Outdoor worship scheduled April 12th through November 29th
Who could have guessed a suggestion by our neighbors would have been so much fun and meaningful?  The concept was introduced like this, “Hey, why don’t we have a simple worship service in the Dog Park on Sunday morning? People can bring their dogs, dress down, drink coffee, and be blessed with friends, fellowship, prayer and thoughtful message.” And that’s all it took.

The outdoor worship in Central Dog Park is now entering its third season, and will run Easter Sunday through the last Sunday in November. Coffee and donuts served at 9:45am, worship from 10:00-10:30am.

The worship in Central Dog Park has no pretenses or pressure, just friends gathering in natural surroundings of sunshine, beautiful landscape, the love of God and in the bonds of fellow creatures.

People come for all types of reasons:

  • Running late to their regular service,
  • Think it’s cool,
  • Accidentally stumble in,
  • Like the coffee and donuts,
  • Can wear shorts,
  • Think fellow doggie lovers are great people, (they are),
  • Like the music and message,
  • Want to help,
  • Need a prayer,
  • Like being outside,
  • Think less is sometimes more,
  • Are spiritual but not religious,
  • Can bring their dog (duh!)

What goes on in Outdoor worship?

  • Enjoy the beauty of being outside,
  • Hear the scripture read out loud,
  • Lift up the Name of Jesus Christ,
  • Be inspired by a heartfelt message,
  • Enjoy guest musician(s) or singer(s),
  • Sometimes sing praise songs,
  • Offer prayer for people or situations as requested,
  • Encourage each other,
  • May offer communion, (open to all believers in Christ )
  • Meet new neighbors,
  • Drink coffee,
  • Watch the dogs enjoy the fellowship.
