Miracle Sunday 2008 is May 18th
Miracle Sunday is the Spring-season effort of our newly adopted two-phased stewardship emphasis that supports our main fall Stewardship Campaign.
The overall goal of our total stewardship emphasis is the complete elimination of any fiscal deficit the church has for our operational budget; we want to turn a budget shortfall into a budget surplus.
During each of the last two stewardship campaigns, we have reduced our projected operating deficit by half each time.
Through generous support of our church congregation, we are now within sight of our goal.
Thank all you for that. It we stay on track, we have a very good chance of attaining our financial goal this year!
On Miracle Sunday, we will be asking you to do two things.
First, increase your giving for your 2008 pledge by some amount for the remainder of the year. Please pledge to give a little extra for the rest of 2008.
Second, make a special one-time gift to the church on Miracle Sunday. Over and above your regular giving on your 2008 pledge, please give something extra that day.
At the very least we should reduce our deficit by half yet again and that will be a very good thing.
However, with a little extra effort, it is entirely possible that we will attain our goal on Miracle Sunday and eliminate our entire annual deficit on that day.
Please prayerfully consider your gift and please do what you can to maintain the financial health of our church.
The title of the Central Christian Church newsletter “Euangelion” may seem a bit odd. But actually it is the New Testament Greek word for “Good News” or “Gospel”. This reflects our philosophy of being a “Good News Community” as we experience Christ living through us. In the newsletter you can stay informed, for example about church happenings, prayer requests, and unique editorials from our pastors Norm and Todd.
The newsletter can be automatically sent through e-mail. The printed version is sent out twice a month intermittent with our e-news only version. Fill out the form below to begin receiving. Find out what you may have missed.
