Overview of Central Christian Church

As we keep our vision before us, the rhetorical question is asked, “What would Jesus do?” At Central, we go a step further in being a good neighbor by also asking, “What would Jesus not do?” As you go through the pages to discover what is at our core, you’ll uncover some ancient Christian ideals which we are passionate about. They are more than just holding the “right beliefs”. These ideals are guide posts to how we view and treat each person as a special eternal creation of God.

The Lord actively pursues people and speaks to them in many different ways. Yet the deepest communication God ever sent was through his son, Jesus Christ. He is indeed risen, and his spirit is much alive among us, both to awaken our hearts to God’s love and to help us leave a sometimes selfish and destructive life.

The life of Christ can be experienced to a limited extent in front of a television, a computer, a radio or an exotic destination. On the other hand, a virtual relationship with Jesus can’t compare with spirituality which has some real solid content. We like coffee, technology, and the power of the imagination, but we also gently urge people to follow Jesus through spiritual disciplines which have stood the test of time and faith.

Exploring our faith together is important to refreshing and communicating the good news of Jesus Christ. Various forms at artistic expression helps us to examine truths that might be obvious but at the same time, hidden. Moreover, creative artistic expression in partnership with Christian spirituality, can help animate and energize the voice of the Holy Spirit.

As you view some of our pages, we hope that you find something which speaks to your heart.   Our visitors range from all spiritual back rounds.   Whether you consider yourself to be spiritual but not religious, or grew up steeped in the faith we’d love to meet you face to face.  Until then enjoy our web site and feel free to attend any of our ministries or activities.
