Steve and Debbie Chisolm
Co-Pastors
Steve and Debbie Chisolm became the pastors of CCC in July 2011.
Steve received a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Brite Divinity at TCU, and has served in the Air National Guard for the past 35 years. Chaplain, Colonel Chisolm is the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commandant, USAF Chaplain Corps College, Ft Jackson South Carolina.
Debbie is a graduate from the Perkins School of Theology at SMU, with a Doctorate in Spiritual Formation and has been a minister for 34 years. Debbie has served churches in Mississippi, Texas, and New Mexico as a student minister and as a senior pastor.
Central Christian Church is their second church to co-pastor and together they share all of the pastoral responsibilities. Steve and Debbie have been married for 32 years and has 3 daughters, 3 sons (by marriage), one grand-daughter, and are awaiting the arrival of two more granddaughters.
Whit Whittington
Music Director/Organist
Whit is a native of Mississippi and received his B.M. degree in organ from Belhaven College and the Master of Sacred Music degree from Candler School of Theology and Emory University. Has also completed coursework for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Southern Mississippi, studying organ performance and pedagogy. Whit has studied organ, conducting and choral music with Timothy Albrecht of Emory University, Alfred Calabrese currently of SMU, Sir David Willcocks, and Paul Manz, among others. Whit has held positions in churches from Atlanta to Dallas, working with children’s and adult choirs, orchestral ensembles and handbells.
