Safe Place: Prayer for Healing and Wholeness
Life confronts all people with pain at some time: physical illness or injury, emotional disturbance, broken relationships, shattered dreams, spiritual struggles. The Church has traditionally been a Safe Place to bring wounds where there is acceptance, support, confidentiality, affirmation and prayer. Such a Safe Place is provided at key times of the year. All are welcome in this contemplative community. Some will come to be silent or to speak their pain. Others will come to encourage those in need and to share the experience of community. Simple ritual encourages releasing the pains to God. Those who wish may request personal prayer for healing and wholeness.
All Safe Place contemplative worship events are held in the Chapel of Central Christian Church.
Anyone who would like to request the prayer of the Elders as described in James 5:13-16 at a different time may call the leader of the Elders, one of the pastors or the church office to arrange an appointment.
