Are you in need of a place to help you talk with God, find forgiveness, or celebrate God’s goodness? Maybe you’d like a place where you can feel that God is a strong tower, or the rock of ages? Worship is where God is the audience and we together are the performers.
It might be giving thanks, a response to a vow, or the need for forgiveness and healing which drives you to worship. At Central Christian Church we try to provide different elements in our worship services to help you respond to God’s leading.
At the center of every service is the focus of Communion with God. Through the cup and bread we always remember the ultimate revelation and sacrifice that our Lord made for us. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV
Elements of prayer, meditation, spiritual song, scripture reading, public thanks, and the preaching of God’s word with multi-media give us vitality which physical food cannot give.
Worship is a way of life. The Bible encourages us to worship together. When the gathering of Christ’s body occurs, something special happens. Come and participate in the worship of the Living God.
Principal Sunday Worship
The climax of every week is the Sunday Worship Celebration at 11:00 AM. An inspiring, dramatic, participatory experience gathers the community of faith to savor God’s presence. Music sets the tone with the majesty of the Ebby Halliday-Maurice Acers pipe organ, the Chancel Choir and Chancel Bells and congregational singing. Uplifting messages from the Bible offer the live hope of authentic intimacy with Jesus Christ. Celebrating the Lord’s Supper is the pinnacle of worship each Sunday.
"Live Hope" messages are for those seeking God's Spirit along the winding and changing paths of life. Find more than clues here, as you move ever closer to the City of God guided by contemporary and ancient wisdom from the Bible. Pastors Norman Stolpe and Todd Boddy preach to help you find courage to participate in and celebrate fully the Lord's gift of life. Learn how to be blessed and find peace along the way to the kingdom, studying God's word and examining our life with Jesus Christ. Whether, just starting down this path, or already a seasoned faith traveler, be challenged in heart, soul, and mind to continue with Jesus joyous band of spiritual pilgrims, as reflected from the Old and New Testaments.
Sunday Outdoor Worship in Central Dog Park
Who could have guessed a suggestion by our neighbors would have been so much fun and meaningful? The concept was introduced like this, “Hey, why don’t we have a simple worship service in the Dog Park on Sunday morning? People can bring their dogs, dress down, drink coffee, and be blessed with friends, fellowship, prayer and thoughtful message.” And that’s all it took.
The outdoor worship in Central Dog Park is now entering its third season, and will run Easter Sunday through the last Sunday in November. Coffee and donuts served at 9:45am, worship from 9:30-10:00am.
The worship in Central Dog Park has no pretenses or pressure, just friends gathering in natural surroundings of sunshine, beautiful landscape, the love of God and in the bonds of fellow creatures.
People come for all types of reasons:
