Todd and John’s friendship began as they were crossing paths at a middle point in life; both were critically evaluating the institution of the church which they had felt called to serve from their teen years. Being on the inside, they were very aware of strengths, weakness, beauty and warts. Both leaving the pastorate for a season out of frustration and heart ache, they found their deep hope and comfort in God was still intact, because of the Lord’s faithfulness. Relating to the challenge of divorce, remarriage, career change, health issues, and sandwiched between generational responsibilities, their teaching is respectful of the concerns people carry with them.

Todd Boddy

Todd has been a preacher and teacher of the Bible for 28 years. His early love of scripture began as a student at the University of Texas in Austin, while fulfilling his foreign language requirement in ancient Greek. He then went on to Dallas Seminary to pursue a Masters of Theology. One of his main concerns was to communicate the scriptures as relevant and vibrant to a muddled post Christian and pluralistic global community. His experience continues to be that the local church, technology, and market place are the forefront of where Biblical teaching and comparative world views should be engaged.

Having served as a campus minister, several urban and rural pastorates, and as financial consultant for nine years, equipped Todd to listen to the real questions and answers people are searching for in the ups and downs of life. One of his passions is following the growing cross pollination between cosmology and theology. Within the next year he hopes to release his new science fiction, psycho-spiritual novel series, “The Blue Moon Chronicles”, delving into the transcendence and imminence of the Kingdom of God. (It’s closer than we think!)

Todd currently serves as Pastor of Outreach and Evangelism at Central Christian Church, in the heart of Dallas TX. His call is to help churches rediscover their powerful roots in teaching, preaching of the scriptures, evangelism, and community service. He currently works with talented volunteers in using the internet, arts and community networking projects to communicate with those who especially describe themselves as “spiritual, but not religious”.

He was ordained into the order of ministry of the Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ), in 1995. Todd enjoys golf, gardening, drinking coffee, socializing with dog lovers and high school baseball. He and his lovely North Texas bride Loretta, have four children, two grandkids and two dogs.
